After you choose your ad unit or ad format that has to appear in your website, it is the time for you to design your ad. This step comes after accepting Google adsense policies and then choosing an ad type and now is customizing the ad design for creating and naming it.
· Accept the terms and conditions after reading them , if it is the first time for you to visit the Adsense profile of yours,
· Click on “Adsense setup” tab,
· Choose an ad type say “Adsense for Content”
· Now check the Ad Unit , instead of checking “Ad Unit”,
· Under format, use the drop down and now choose the Ad format,
· Wider and larger ad formats are recommended because these are known to perform well. After individual posts, “Rectangle” format is best and for the page “Skyscraper” is the best format,
· Choose ad color now,
· Click continue.
· Youl be asked to create an ad channel which can be skipped and filled at another moment of time after you understand it well,
· Name the adsense unit, now, use a recognizable name. the allowance of this name in the code is personal, you can either delete it or use it as it is. The default name includes ad size and date on which it is created.
· Click on “submit and get code” button.
· This completes the designing of your own ad.
